Dubai Taxi Company expands UAE footprint as Ajman partnership opens new opportunities
Plans include digital booking, fleet optimisation and driver solutions
DUBAI – The Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AJ Industries LLC (AJI) to explore a strategic partnership aimed at expanding mobility services in the Emirate of Ajman.
The agreement brings together DTC’s operational expertise and digital capabilities with AJI’s local market knowledge and experience in sustainable automotive solutions.
The collaboration is designed to create a framework for scaling mobility services in Ajman while enhancing transport efficiency and customer experience. It also supports wider efforts to develop advanced and sustainable mobility solutions across the UAE.
DTC already has an operational presence in Ajman through its school bus services delivered in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The new agreement marks a significant step in the company’s broader strategy to expand its footprint across the country.
Growth plans
Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, Group CEO of DTC, described the MoU as an important milestone in the company’s growth ambitions. He said the partnership would help bring DTC’s operational expertise, digital platforms and innovative mobility services to Ajman while supporting the development of a more integrated and customer-focused transport ecosystem.
Under the agreement, the two companies will explore commercial and operational models that could support the creation of a scalable mobility platform. The proposed platform is intended to enhance service quality across both mass-market and premium transport segments while serving as a model that could be replicated elsewhere in the UAE.
Digital focus
Among the key areas being assessed is the integration of e-hailing platforms such as Bolt into Ajman’s existing taxi network. The partners will also examine opportunities to optimise fleet operations and improve digital booking and dispatch systems to create a smoother experience for customers.
The MoU further outlines plans to explore flexible driver provisioning and workforce solutions. These initiatives are aimed at ensuring a scalable supply of qualified drivers to help taxi operators and mobility providers meet changing demand while maintaining service standards.
Premium services
The partnership also extends to the limousine sector, where both parties will assess opportunities to enhance premium transport offerings through upgraded fleets, advanced technology platforms and higher service standards.
In addition, DTC and AJI will explore new business opportunities including corporate mobility solutions, tourism partnerships and on-demand premium transport services. AJ Industries Group CEO Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi said future mobility would be shaped by collaboration between organisations that understand both technology and local market requirements, adding that the partnership would support the introduction of sustainable, technology-led transport solutions tailored to Ajman’s needs.
The agreement reflects DTC’s continued focus on innovation, service enhancement and public-private collaboration as the UAE advances its long-term mobility ambitions.
